If you were to take away all the neurotic affirmations, pretentious quotes and sophomoric epigrams posted on Facebook walls, what would be left?

Love manifests itself in acts of kindness, goodwill and benevolence, not sentimental epigrams posted on Facebook walls.

A willful child, spurning wise counsel, heads down the road to destruction.

The architect who designed the building and the workman who laid the bricks are equally worthy.

Don't expect much from others, and you won't be disappointed.

It doesn't cost anything to be nice to people.

Be careful who you trust. The fewer the better.

The more I'm around people, the more I like being alone.
